Ingredients
- 2 medium apples
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Prepare the apples by peeling and chopping them.
- Cream together 1/2 cup of butter with granulated sugar.
- Add sour cream, vanilla, baking soda, salt, and flour.
- Stir the mixture and add chopped apples as you stir.
- Using a small bowl, crumble in 2 tablespoons of softened butter, the brown sugar, and cinnamon together. Sprinkle this over the batter.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes and let it cool completely.
- For icing, mix 2 tablespoons of melted butter, milk, and powered sugar. Drizzle over and serve 18 bars.
