Sumit Kumar, MD, MPH, FASN, FACP

Interventional Nephrology, Hypertension and Transplant Medicine

Dr. Sumit Kumar is a board-certified nephrologist with more than 17 years of experience serving patients with kidney disease and hypertension. He trained at the premier nephrology fellowship program in Denver, Colorado and is one of the few trained interventional nephrologists in the DFW area. Dr. Kumar ardently believes in “Service before Self,” He says, “I listen intently to my patients and do my best to make things less complicated. Kidney disease can be very serious, so I strive to be reassuring and compassionate while guiding them through their options.”

Shaun Kaiser, M.D.

Nephrology

Dr. Shaun Kaiser is board certified in both nephrology and internal medicine with special interest in nutrition. Having been a registered dietitian for over 18 years, part of that working with dialysis patients, he grew especially fond of caring for those suffering kidney disease. Dr. Kaiser is passionate about his work and believes in preventive care to come up with strategies to prevent progression of CKD.

Krishna Pakkivenkata, M.D.

Nephrology

Dr. Krishna Pakkivenkata is board certified in both nephrology and internal medicine. After receiving his medical degree from Andhra medical college in India in 1999, he joined Royal College of Physicians to pursue his post doctoral training and graduated in 2004. Dr. Krishna’s patients have immense trust in his ability and like the way he takes time to patiently explain the diagnosis and the treatment plan.

Surachit Kumar, M.D.

Nephrology

Dr. Surachit Kumar is board certified in both nephrology and internal medicine. After receiving his medical degree in 2004 from University College of Medical Sciences in India, he joined Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnston Pennsylvania to pursue his post doctoral training and completed his internal medicine residency in 2012. Dr. Kumar practices cutting-edge, comprehensive, and compassionate care in a concierge environment to ensure his patients receive the best care.

Dr. Vivek Sharma, MD

Nephrology

Dr. Vivek Sharma is a board Certified physician in Internal Medicine. He completed his Medical degree from B J Medical College, University of Pune in India. He graduated in Internal Medicine from York Hospital, Pennsylvania in 2010. He went on to join as an Internist at a San Juan Regional Medical Center, in Farmington, New Mexico. In his role as an Internist, he gained valuable experience in working with kidney and critically sick patients. Subsequently, He joined Texas Kidney Institute in August 2020, after completing his fellowship training In Nephrology in June 2020 from Baylor Scott and White,Temple,TX.

Dr. Rebecca Rojas, MD

Nephrology and Transplant Medicine

Dr. Rebecca Rojas, MD, is a Nephrology specialist in Dallas, Texas. She attended and graduated from Boston University School Of Medicine in 2002, having over 19 years of diverse experience, especially in Nephrology and Transplant Nephrology. She was affiliated with many hospitals including Parkland Health And Hospital System, Ut Southwestern University Hospital.

Dr. Tayo Ajiboye

Nephrology

Dr. Tayo Ajiboye is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine. She completed her medical training from University of Ibadan, in Nigeria. She later graduated from Internal medicine residency training at Cook County Health, Illinois Chicago and then proceeded to Nephrology fellowship at Emory University. Over the course of her training, she gained tremendous experience in working with patients dealing with kidney diseases.

Elisha Shelton, MPAS, MS-CRM, PA-C

Nephrology

Elisha Shelton earned her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies and Masters of Clinical Research Management at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2008. From 2008-2017, she worked as a PA and Clinical Research Coordinator at Endocrine Associates of Dallas. She joined the Texas Kidney Institute practice as part of the Nephrotex Research Group as a Clinical Research Manager and Sub-Investigator prior to joining the practice as a Physician Assistant in July 2017.

Lori Liles, MS, APRN, FNP-C

Family Nurse Practicioner

Lori Liles is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner accredited by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Lori obtained her master’s degree in Nursing, Family Practice from Texas Woman’s University. She has been practicing in the field of nursing for over 25 years with diverse experience in both acute and chronic care of patients.
