Elisha Shelton earned her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies and Masters of Clinical Research Management at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2008. From 2008-2017, she worked as a PA and Clinical Research Coordinator at Endocrine Associates of Dallas. She joined the Texas Kidney Institute practice as part of the Nephrotex Research Group as a Clinical Research Manager and Sub-Investigator prior to joining the practice as a Physician Assistant in July 2017.

Nephrology
Elisha Shelton, MPAS, MS-CRM, PA-C earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 2000 from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. After graduation, she worked from 2001-2005 as a clinical research coordinator at Dallas Nephrology Associates. In 2005, she began a dual Master’s degree program the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth where she graduated in 2008 with a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies and Masters of Clinical Research Management.
In 2008, she received her professional certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) as well as her Texas Physician Assistants Board License. From 2008-2017, she worked as a PA and Clinical Research Coordinator at Endocrine Associates of Dallas. She joined the Texas Kidney Institute practice as part of the Nephrotex Research Group in February 2015 as a Clinical Research Manager and Sub-Investigator prior to joining the practice in the scope of Physician Assistant in July 2017.
Elisha has co-authored several abstracts related to nephrology and hypertension and received the Outstanding Poster presentation award in 2008 from the American Academy of Nephrology Physician Assistants (AANPA). In addition to being a member of several professional associations, Elisha is a member of Pi Alpha National Honor Society of Physician Assistants.
Elisha enjoys engaging with her patients to ensure they receive they receive the best care possible as well as understand their disease state and treatment. She also enjoys her role in clinical research as her research perspective complements her clinical skills and knowledge when treating her patients.
In her free time, Elisha loves to spend time with her husband and two children. She also enjoys exploring new places to eat in the DFW area, traveling the US and visiting her hometown.
