How It Started

Our History

Kidney disease is silent, affecting 26 million Americans, and another 73 million are at risk. Texas Kidney Institute in Dallas, Texas was founded by Dr. Sumit Kumar in 2012 to treat patients with kidney disease and other related illness using cutting-edge, comprehensive, and compassionate care in a concierge environment. Dr. Kumar is a board-certified nephrologist with more than 17 years of experience serving patients with kidney disease and hypertension. He is very passionate about treating kidney disease and preventing the progression of chronic kidney disease.

TKI boasts of a team of experienced and well qualified nephrologists and staff members that work closely with their patients on their diagnosis and treatment plan. TKI currently has 4 board certified nephrologist in their practice and is constantly looking to expand their practice and bring on top notch talent on board.
